Interests and
scope area
My main research interest is to unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying plasticity, adaptation and vulnerability of marine ectotherms subjected to global change stressors (gradual warming, heatwaves and hypoxia), based on systems-biology and macroevolutionary approaches. Specifically, I aim to discover the genomic basis of adaptation and the role of epigenetics in phenotypic trait plasticity in marine animals from temperate and tropical latitudes.
